About the Artist

Kirsten Holt Beitler is a full-time artist creating both commercial and fine art. She paints
expressive figurative and portrait-based work, drawing from the visual language of pop culture,
typography, and kitsch. Whether making signs for Harmon’s Grocery or working in her studio,
her focus remains on the deeply human, capturing how life’s experiences etch themselves onto
the face and body.

Kirsten is a Southern Utah native who has been drawing and painting since childhood. She
received a Bachelor’s in Illustration from SUU. Kirsten has shown work in many galleries and
been featured in several publications including The Sears Gallery, The Springville Museum of
Art, St. George Art Museum, Anthony’s Fine Art and Antiques, Bountiful Davis Arts Center, The
DiFiore Center, and Center Gallery, NYC. She has published art and writing in Elan Magazine, The
Exponent II, and The Mormon Women’s Project. Her works are featured in private collections
across the United States and Europe.

Utah Tech has a special place in Dr. Prince’s family’s hearts… and they are so excited to add an “Art in the City” bison to the office landscape.
Dr. Prince and his wife Dani are both alumni of Utah Tech University, and they currently have a daughter as a full-time Trailblazer!

Doc also helps with the pain management course at the Dental Hygiene school, and they are mentors for the men’s basketball team and love spending time with the athletes. The Prince family’s deep roots at Utah Tech make this newest bison a meaningful celebration of their continued love for and investment in the university they proudly call home.
