About the Artist
Susan Plouzek is a seasoned professional artist specializing in acrylics and colored pencils, with nearly 40 years of creative experience. Her work has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, including the prestigious Art and Soup event in Salt Lake City in 2006. Susan has also played a key role in the Utah arts community, judging entries for both the Salt Lake County Fair and the Utah State Fair.
Throughout her career, Susan has collaborated with interior designers and furniture makers, expanding her reach and gaining valuable experience. She was a founding member of the Schorr Art Gallery in West Jordan, Utah, where her work was frequently showcased. In Arizona, Susan contributed as a writer for a local newspaper, penning monthly art-related articles, and she organized an annual art festival. As president of several Arizona-based art organizations, she was an influential figure in the local arts scene.
Susan is passionate about teaching and has shared her expertise with students of all ages—from young children to retirees. She currently teaches art classes at Utah Tech University through the Continuing Education Program.
